Following my original humanistic counsellor training, I developed an interest in psychodynamic practice. I completed an introductory course in Psychoanalytic Principles run by the British Association of Psychotherapists (BAP)in 1993.

In 1999 I completed a Masters Degree in Psychoanalytic Studies at Leeds Psychotherapy Department and awarded by the School of Medicine, Leeds University. The training enabled me to follow my interest in the development of the personality from both a psychodynamic perspective and in studies in research in child development.  My dissertation was on the process of moving through developmental stages to become a separate adult.
I completed a Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling Supervision in 1991 with Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF Counselling).
